Alagoas was the only state in Brazil where WESTERN RIDING (rein training) wasn't practiced. Familiar to the activity, Mr. Werner has initiated and divulged this equestrian sport, from Fazenda Maresia.
To control rein functions on a horse, doesn't only mean to guide the horse, but also, to control all its movements. The rider is asked to perform 13 pre-established courses, including, stoppages, 360 degree spins, rollbacks, in which the rider stops, turns 180 degrees and comes out at gallop, change of directions and circling at gallop. The horse must be guided voluntarily, with little or no resistance. We have trainers, specialized in this art to help you.
All our horses are pure-breed, and specially trained by professionals. Our park has a grass course 90 x 40 meters and a round pen 18 meters in diameter.
You can also get to know quite a bit of Fazenda Maresia on these majestic horses, always riding in safety.
We would like to express our gratitude to our good friend Mr. Helmut Schulz, one of the best and better known horse trainers in Europe in Western Riding, for his great support to our program.
